Edmond, what a creative and excellent scene! I noticed you joined our Book Covers 1 per day group and stopped by to welcome you and see your art! Wonderful work! lf

Hi Michele. Thank you for your kind compliment and the welcome offered. Your l/f are of course much appreciated. I will be very happy to add images to your Book Covers Group on a regular basis.

I think your treatment of the trees and mountains along with the lens flare gave an aura of mystery to this image which I enjoy. I used the lens flare once to break the monotony in an image called Aged Beauty (Position 11).

If this is a lens flare, you have used it well because it feels that I'm in alien territory right now. The yellow light, though small, says it all!.......L/F.

Shirley, thank you very much for your comment and your L/F. Let me reassure you, you are not in alien territory yet, the whole picture is cock-up, i.e. artist license has been employed to the full as the original panoramic image was a bit boring. I tried several approaches and in the end I "squashed" the wide view which made the hills taller. Furthermore, I distorted a copy of the same photo and via HDR software (Photomaticx Pro 5) I blended the two photographs, hence the same mountain formation in the background. Finally I used PhotoShop's filter "Lens Flare", not to confuse you, but to give some added interest to the image. I hope, I have not disillusioned you, hence also the description of the picture being "based upon a scene nr. Bad Toelz" which covers a lot of sins. Hopefully, you still like the result. Try it yourself.
